Often these courses will include unpublished hints to provide an alternative perspective. The tools and techniques used will vary according to need but generally it is good to start training with the famous "Hexagon Modelling Process", a widely used method for a large variety of tasks.

TWO AND THREE DAY COURSES
These courses are more skills orientated, expanding upon the one day introductory courses and demonstrating the wider areas of application that the methods and techniques can be used for. There are a wide variety of courses available, from the acquisition of skills for facilitating group meetings through to conducting scenario workshops, the basics of live software capture and an introduction to holistic thinking.

Better Meetings with Visual Thinking

WE HAVE ALL EXPERIENCED THE PAIN OF A BAD MEETING

But what constitutes a bad meeting?
A bad meeting is one, which leads to:

  • A waste of time, motivation and resources
  • Debilitation and a loss of incentive
  • Poor quality decisions and solutions
  • Unnecessary problems between people
  • Short sighted thinking so 'fixes' fail
  • Constraints to solve the real problems
  • Lack of a clear direction for implementation
  • Agreements based on assumptions - which fail

Are You Looking for a Way to Hold Better Discussions, Meetings,
Work Sessions and Conferences?

Perhaps up to 70% of management time is spent in meetings…

..exchanging information, assessing, planning, making decisions, dealing with problems and the like. These exchanges may be brief or complex but all of them directly interface with the well being and success of your venture. Each exchange may or may not be meaningful, depending on the degree of mind share.

To the detrimental of the organisation, many meetings are for the most part ineffective. It has been noted that some of the best exchanges take place by chance in corridors or at the coffee machine!

Visual Thinking is a unique communication process, which directly tackles the problems that constrain clear thinking. Visual Thinking is a combination of creative Visual mapping tools and methods with a facilitative approach to dialogue. Using this process has repeatedly proven it is possible for groups of people of varying size to have better, faster and more creative exchanges. A variety of modelling approaches enable guided discussions for an almost inexhaustible menu of applications. The most versatile and successful modelling tool is the magnetic hexagon.

"Talking and creating language in a meeting of corporate individuals is not as easy as it sounds. Many things can go wrong, and do go wrong… This is where hexagons have a proven track record."

Arie de Geus, author, "The Living Company"

Rapid Results
Understanding is modelled to expose and manage complexity, ambiguity and uncertainty. Visual Thinking processes helps the emergence of new understanding, insightful ideas and unforeseen opportunities. The process is designed to eliminate polarisation and negative group dynamics, capitalise on diversity in the group and promote collaboration.
